Manual: Solar Power Module P1
Solar Power Module P1 Parts
- A) Solar Panel.
- B) Cover to access the batteries.
- C) USBC power output (from 3.4 to 4.2 V DC).
- D) Grip rail to attach to Water Level S1 or other devices.
- E) Socket to place 3x AA NiMH rechargeable batteries.
All USBC connections should be protected from moisture and water using the red flexible USBC protectors. Especially in the case of the internal sensor of the water tank, where continuous extreme humidity is generated.
Installation
This module requires 3x AA NiMH rechargeable batteries.
- Charge the 3x AA NiMH before insert it at device.
- Ensure use good brand and quality AA NiMH batteries, 2000 mA or more.
- Only use AA NiMH rechargeable batteries.
-
If you are not sure which brand of rechargeable AA NiMH batteries to use. Use the Energizer brand, the product was tested with this brand with continuous use for several months without problems.
Place the device in places where direct sunlight hits for at least 3 or more hours a day. Make sure that the part of the solar panel (Part A) is facing the place where the direct sun hits the most.
If it is placed where the sun does not shine regularly and for enough hours to keep the battery charge stable, it could damage the sensor device. Check that as the days go by, the device remains on and working with enough energy.
Finally, connect the power output cable to the Water Level S1 power input at Control Unit.
Be sure to place the red cover on the sensor's USBC connector and position it firmly to reduce moisture penetration into the joint.
